Celebrations

It's my best friend's birthday today. We fall off  once in a while because individual differences and now distance but still she is my best friend and we always are capable of stitching things back together. She will always be there for me. So will I. She asked me for flip flops as a birthday present. How funny is that? She is very dear. through all of the good and bad things that happened to me, she has always been there and we have been together with little expectations from each other so it is funny that she only asks for flip flops because that makes me know that we both haven't changed.

I have been at the park for 5 hours and 30 minutes. I should have gone to my boss' house to do the graduation hats for the kids we are sending off to kindergarten but I chose to sit there. I got to read a bit about Hematology today. It was good to have my brain refreshed from all of that. I was amazed on how I could still spell out the meaning of EDTA (a blood anticoagulant) by merely looking at it once. Ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid! (Laughin' out loud). This goes to show that I haven't forgotten what I went to college for. When I got tired, it hit me that it will only be 3 months and 20 days to go 'til my escape to freedom. I renewed and re-planned my flight scheme and it looks fine. Hard to accomplish but fine. I hope to get stable jobs to accomplish the needs for my plan to freedom and if something goes well, it will suffice the support that I'll need for it. I am excited to get to choose for myself. And once I'm home I'll do everything that I can possibly do to move on.
I got to make a poem today as well which will be posted shortly after this one. Hope you'll like it because I did. :)

Wonders of my world

Out of boredom and lack of sleepiness, ever wonder what happens inside a cremation chamber? Well, the truth of the matter is: no one alive would ever know. Even the ones who own the crematorium would never ever really know how it looks like in there while it's happening. Ever wonder why Geisha's take bids for the first ever sex they'll experience in life? Was it customary that they did or was the money they would get from it gets donated to some charity (If it existed before). Ever wonder where feelings really come from? Is there a specific organ that generates them? The hypothalamus? The heart? The brain? Ever wonder how other government agencies capture clear photographs of people they we're spying on even if  they we're nowhere to be seen while it was taken? A satellite that's miles away? A super camera that was never released and announced in public?  Ever wonder how scary it would have been if we experienced Dinosaurs? Could we have survived? Ever wonder why dragons are so fascinating? Could it be because they're fictional characters of a genius who thought about they're so called existence before? Ever wonder why Google is so amazing? Maybe because we can type anything we want on the search engine and get results right away. Effin' genius! Ever wonder why some are awfully rich and cannot think of a way to spend their millions anymore while others are slaves for them? Maybe because they we're born rich but cursed? Maybe because they worked hard for what they have? Maybe because some are not ambitious enough for them to have what the rich has? Ever wonder why some people are addicted to something? What causes it? How the hell did the addiction start anyway? Who and what triggered it? Ever wonder why constellations are formed? Why were they formed? What are their purposes? Ever wonder how stale wine is made? I know how but I wondered about that before. Ever wonder if dogs can smile or make face? Do they frown if you tell them to go to the tub for their bath? Do they smile like a 4 year old when you're about to go out for a walk with them and when you're about to give them a treat? Ever wonder what your pain tolerance is? What measures it? A weighing scale? A thermometer? Or a specific tool that's unknown to me until now? Am I the only person who doesn't know about this? Ever wonder why every person in the universe can be distinguished by fingerprints? Whose idea was this? Why do we have different fingerprints? Are there people who have the same, identical ones? Ever wonder why we wonder? Why are we curious? Who can answer our questions? Am I crazy? What caused my curiosity? Am I overcurious? Is this something normal? Is it healthy to be curious?

Inspiration

"Love is worth the risk of loss; Anger harms no one more than he who harbors it; Both bitterness and true happiness are choices that we make, not conditions that fall upon us from the hands of fate; Peace is to be found in the acceptance of things that we are unable to change; Friends and family are the blood of life, and the purpose of existence is caring and commitment."

Late.. Late. Late. Super late.

Yeah. So.. Super late. Haven't updated this blog for a decade now. How lazy of me. A lot of things happened I guess. Christmas, New year, Me and my Tj's 9th birthday. And of course, CLP (Christian Life Program) started. I wanted to be a part of SFC (Singles For Christ) for awhile now. Tj's a member and is with the Music Ministry. I asked him once why he joined and what he gets from it, he told me that God loves us so much and every waking day is a blessing. It's not enough to just pray on your own and thank him silently. Joining SFC was his way of showing God how much he loves him back and that through playing music, he could show him in his own little way.
I was pleased to hear how he elaborated on the reason why he is a part of it and he inspired me to join.
We had our orientation last January 28. The Service Team of CFC (Couples For Christ) elaborated more on what CFC really is and what CLP could do to our lives. One thing that the speaker said that I would never forget: "Some of us are good, we can say that. But we do not have a close connection and interaction with God, so we couldn't really say that we have achieved self renewal." That inspired me more because I immediately related to it.
The Christian Life Program has 3 modules, and in each module, there are 4 sessions. In order for us to become members, we have to undergo these sessions.
We had our first session of Module 1 last February 4. It was:
Talk 1: God's Love.
We had a speaker who discussed on despite the unavoidable things that a person goes through while on earth, God still finds a way and will always be the light that will guide us.  "Apart form him, we can do nothing," This is what he said that I wouldn't forget.
Super excited for the next session and I am eager to graduate and be a part of SFC someday.

John 3:16-18

16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

Hmmmmm

Had a wonderful day today though it started shaky. I was awaken, annoyed (slamming/banging everything that she held hands on) by someone who I live with and considering the fact that I just woke up, I was at my wits end.  I shouted and slammed things in return. I eventually said sorry and have as well accepted her apology because I hate to hate to go home  just because I don't want to see someone I'm angry with .

Why was my day wonderful anyway? Yeah. It was a wonderful day because I didn't feel tired at all. Saturday usually is a very tiring day because it's the first day of a week at work. Not this Saturday though. It was an okay day for me.

Not tiring at all at Jen's, same-same (the term people in Saudi Arabia say when they mean "the same") at preschool, and a cool weather. The climate's changing and soon it will be colder. It was 16 degrees earlier this morning. I had to wear a jacket on.

We went to Ramahniyah to eat at Jollibee, all because of a stupid joke and the endless persuasion ang guilt trip we put on Paul on the way home.

When I got home, I called my hubby as per usual. That's just my way of releasing any stress and just because he takes all the bad vibes away from my body.  I love talking to him after work. I miss him so much during working hours and won't have a good night sleep if I miss a day without hearing his voice.

But just as we were talking, he mentioned something about him going away to work as a seaman. That means when i go home for good, I still won't be with him. We'll still be far from each other. I don't know if he asked me what I thought about it, all I know is I said "NO". That's unfair I know. Even if he said that he won't go because he really didn't want to. It still feels unfair to me in many ways.

Hope to have more serious talks with him. Hmmm.. :(

Lazy

I love doing this. Just lying down, not moving a single muscle at all. Once in a while, people deserve to be couch potatoes and I am damn well entitled to be one on a day off from work. I watched "How to lose a guy in 10 days" - chick flick, "Splice" - sci-fi, and "Prince of Persia" - adventure, without breaks of some sort. I literally didn't move from where I was. Glad nobody asked me if something was wrong with me. Visiting Facebook and my site is what I could call a short break. Tj was off to bed. He said he was already sleepy, surprisingly. I called him to say good night and just because talking to him, long or short, completes my day. Thought we would have more time on Yahoo Messenger but since he was just about snoring when I hung the phone up, I will have more time to be a couch potato and watch two more movies until it's time to go to bed. Everything's fine. Just chillin'. :)

Bored out of my mind

I don't have work for  the weekend. That means 2 whole days off just blabbering about on Facebook. I was kind of excited about it because I think that it is the first time since I got back from the Philippines that I would get to experience 2 whole days without cleaning bathrooms. Also kind of excited because I hoped to see Tj on Yahoo Messenger (The messenger that makes it all happen). But I forgot, Yeah, I did forget. He was off to Dumaguete for a mission (SFC). And to make matters worse, he gets to be there for 5 days. What a treat! I've been having a bad week. I was kind of in an emotional breakdown. I missed him so much. I haven't felt this before. Literally a meltdown. I cried when he texts me. I cried after I have spoken to him on the phone. I cried before I slept and I cried when I woke up. I couldn't believe it. What could possibly be wrong with me?

But wanting to be a good girlfriend, I shrugged it off. I didn't want him to feel upset because I was acting inappropriately all of a sudden. This was just not the right time for it. Besides, it's not everyday that you get to go to places like where he is now. He deserves to be happy and worry free. Worry free of a girlfriend who acts like a crazy person just because she misses him so badly. :'(
